Terms of Service

A single purchase gives you a personal, perpetual license to install and use the book and its version 1 updates. Polar handles payment and tax as merchant of record.

Who you are dealing with

The RAG Handbook (the desktop app and the free web preview) is sold by hyoogoo, a project operated by an individual based in Malaysia ("the seller", "we"). Contact: hello@hyoogoo.com.

The license you buy

What you may and may not do

You may install and use the book for your own personal use, on any platform the app supports.

You may not share, resell, sublicense, or republish your license key or the book's content, and you may not work around the license check. If you breach these terms, for example by sharing or reselling, we may suspend or revoke your license. For team or organization licensing, contact us at hello@hyoogoo.com.

Updates

Buying version 1 includes free updates for the life of version 1, meaning every 1.x release. A future major edition (version 2) may be a separate purchase.

Payment, tax, and refunds

Polar is the merchant of record for your purchase. Your payment is processed by Polar under its own terms, and it handles any sales tax or VAT. Any EU or UK right of withdrawal is administered by Polar under its Buyer Terms, which you agree to at checkout. For refunds, see our Refund Policy.

The free preview

The first 3 chapters are free to read in your browser so you can evaluate the book before buying. The preview is provided as is.

Educational content, not advice

The book is educational material, not professional, legal, or engineering advice. Code samples are provided as examples to learn from, as is. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and deciding how to use anything from the book in your own projects.

Third-party services and your own keys

Some optional features let you connect your own third-party accounts or API keys. Those services are governed by their own terms, you are responsible for their costs and use, and we are not liable for them.

No warranty

The book is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it is free of errors or fit for a particular purpose.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected to the book is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we were advised such loss was possible. Some consumer laws give you rights that this limit cannot reduce, and nothing here removes those rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Malaysia. If you buy as a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection law of your own country may also apply.

If part of these terms fails

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stay in force.

Changes

If these terms change, we update this page and the date below.
